Man time flies when your animating everyday! well im done with my blocking plus. last 3/3 hasnt been ecrited yet. and i haven't done any of the fixes from last weeks ecrit on the 2/3. so far im managing to stay ahead of the game by finishing my assignments on or ahead of time. animating the dog rig )Pawn)has been a rewarding, intimidating, frustrating, fun, and sometimes not so fun. everyone says it will be good for me because i'li be able to say i have "experience" animating a quadruped. well i guess. anyways sean sexton is the most awesome mentor ever! his ecrits are always super helpful and his qna's are off the hook if your info hungry like i am. its kinda sad to know that i only have 6 weeks left at AM. im gonna miss that 3pm deadline/start the new week thingy. well here comes the most challenging part of the process. splining and then polishing. although i must say i don't have that deer in the headlights feeling i've had on previous projects when it was time to spline, so i guess that means either im ready or too stupid to realize what a daunting job i have in front of me. well i handed in this weeks blocking plus so here is the whole thing minus the fade out before Dan slides into the romm. and the title and end credits. Hmmmm...i guess it would be smart to start working on the title and credits too.

Short Film Week 1
Well i got my first e crit from sean today. but first since i havent posted since my 1st qna lets talk about that. sean sexton is ultra sweet as a mentor, i actually watched some of his e crits while i was in class 4 and 5. so i was familiar with his style, but meeting him was totally cool. he likes to give tuts every week in stead of asking and answering a bunch of questions. but he lets us know that the most important thing is that we get all the feedback we need from him. so if we have a question that takes priority, so the tuts dont overshadow him making sure we're on point with our films. but the tuts are super helpful because we get to see a feature studio animators workflow, and decision making pertaining to a shot.
Now back to my ecrit, he likes what i've done so far on the layout, but he had a few suggestions for some cam moves and some acting choices to help the film translate better. i had to block my 1st third which wasnt as bad as i thought it would be, but not easy at all. I'm getting a little better with the dog rig (pawn) but its a struggle because you cant put him in certian poses because his mesh goes all goofy. so i spent today fixing some of the things sean mentioned in my 1st thrrd blocking, and showed it to him and he liked it. so thats goos cause now i can comtinue forward and get my 2nd third done before the weekend is here. supposed to go to a comedy club on sat. nite so i gotta get my work done before that. so with that in mind im outta here and i'll be back on sunday or monday with an update. HOLLA!
